Dr. Paul Crombach Scholarship
| 3rd Year | The person chosen must be a third year student in good academic standing and exhibit the following characteristics:
Conscientiousness in his/her studies and the drive to excel in all academic undertakings; A deep sensitivity and appreciation for peers, faculty members, and patients; Helpfulness, actively seeks opportunities to assist others, not just when asked; Charity, demonstrates charitable acts when he/she identifies a need;

Class of 1980 David Foti Memorial Award

Students who have completed their 1st year of dental school; display strong spirt & character, & taken actions that have helped their classmates. This scholarship will be to be given to a student that has just completed his/her first year of dental school.
The recipient of this award has displayed a strong spirit, character, and course of action that helped his/her classmates weather the difficulties, and challenges of the first year of dental school.
This may have been demonstrated by: tutoring/counseling classmates, referring classmates to appropriate sources for assistance, organizing/leading or participating in meetings to discuss issues, alleviating times of tension with his/her jovial spirit, and being a person that you would call a friend. | Students nominated through

Dr. Earle J. Kelsey Memorial Scholarship Fund
| 2nd, 3rd, 4th Year | Students pursuing a degree leading to a Doctor of Dental Surgery; worthy students & good academic standing.

Thomas C. Labenski Scholarship Fund

The scholarship was established by the Class of 1985 in honor of a classmate who passed away in 1987 after a lengthy illness. It is awarded to a rising third year dental student who exemplifies characteristics demonstrated by Tom Labenski during his dental training in Buffalo.
These include: the desire to learn the maximum without compromising quality patient care or interactions with classmates; concern for classmates; conscientious participation in class-sponsored activities; amiability and consideration for classmates, patients, faculty and staff; being the person that everyone would call friend and rally to support without hesitation because of his/her demeanor and their respect for him/her. | Students nominated through

Rosenthal Scholarship | 2nd Year | To provide aid to a second year dental student who is in the top half of their class upon completion of their first year who demonstrate financial need and who exhibit positive attitudes and strong work ethic towards the remaining years of their dental school education.
It is the intent of the Donor to annually provide financial aid to one sophomore student who is in the top one-half of his or her class upon completion of their freshman year, who demonstrates critical financial need and who exhibits a positive attitude, shows strong work ethic toward their dental school education, and is committed to public health initiatives. | Submit essay via |
