At UB, our students and residents have direct access to outstanding faculty, new clinical facilities and a diverse patient population. State-of-the-art research opportunities and exceptional mentors are readily available.
The majority of Advanced Education programs at the School of Dental Medicine lead to a certificate in a specialty field. Many students simultaneously pursue an academic degree to enhance their research exposure during clinical training. While some students focus exclusively on their research careers and pursue masters degrees, others conduct basic and/or clinical research to earn a doctoral degree.
The university has updated its policy on English language proficiency requirements for students affected by the closure of testing sites for TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. The University at Buffalo will accept the Duolingo English Test (DET) for proof of English proficiency. This test can be taken online, in your own home. More information can be found on the Graduate School’s website.
The School of Dental Medicine also co-sponsors a General Practice Residency program with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Information about the program and application procedures are outlined on Roswell Park's website .
