UB Dental is a clinical facility for the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Here, patients receive care by dental students under the close supervision of our world-class faculty. Our state-of-the-art renovated clinics offer the latest in dental technology and instruments.
We’re proud to be a part of the City of Good Neighbors, serving thousands of people in the Buffalo-Niagara region every year through our clinic in Squire Hall on UB’s South Campus and our mobile dental units.
Since UB is a teaching institution, most care is provided by third-year and fourth-year dental students. Our faculty supervises the students, reviews and approves your treatment, and helps monitor your progress.
UB Dental's S-Miles To Go program provides dental care to vulnerable populations through two state-of-the-art mobile dental units. Our mobile vans increase access to critical oral health care services for children in rural communities, parents and children living on Buffalo's East Side, low-income older adults, homeless individuals and people with disabilities.
Services include exams, cleanings, fillings, sealants, fluoride treatments and extractions. The vans contain several dental chairs, a panoramic X-ray machine, sanitization center, a patient waiting area, and a powered chair lift for patients with disabilities. The vans are staffed by pediatric and general dentists from the UB School of Dental Medicine, as well as a dental hygienist and a dental assistant.
Through the program, we're enhancing access to quality oral health care to vulnerable populations and providing our students with firsthand experience treating individuals from low-income backgrounds, those with special needs, and pediatric patients.
The mobile dental unit is available to schools, organizations and communities primarily in Chautauqua County. If you would like the mobile dental unit to visit you, please contact us at 716-560-5127.
UB Dental serves thousands of patients in Western New York. If you would like to help support our mission and improve the quality of oral health in our region, please consider making a gift. We encourage you to give to the Patient Care Fund.
