The University at Buffalo is a research-intensive public institution with a 150-year heritage of excellence in the medical sciences. At the School of Dental Medicine, our research programs cover a wide range of oral health problems — from the basic research of molecular and cellular biology, to understanding community health factors of oral cancers.

Our Health Sciences Center comprises the Schools of Dental Medicine, Public Health and Health Professions, Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Nursing fostering cross-disciplinary research and offering researchers access to facilities and faculty throughout the university.
