The DDS Program’s cost of attendance reflects the total estimated expenses for all four years of dental school. This encompasses tuition, room and board, books, supplies, transportation, loan fees, and other miscellaneous costs.
Learn about your options for financial aid.
If you need help financing your education, U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens should apply for federal financial aid by filling out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online.
The FAFSA application is required for any student wishing to apply for federal aid, including all federal loans. The FAFSA collects the student’s household financial information to determine their eligibility for all of the federal financial aid programs.
You can find more detailed information on UB’s Financial Aid website or schedule an appointment with a financial aid advisor.
The ADA and ADEA offer many resources for students.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.
The FAFSA code for UB is 002837.
Students should submit their FAFSA as soon as it becomes available in December to ensure timely processing and access to all aid opportunities.
Eligibility is based on the information provided on your FAFSA, your cost of attendance, and your expected family contribution (EFC) or Student Aid Index (SAI).
Once your FAFSA is processed, you’ll receive a financial aid offer outlining your eligibility for federal loans and other available aid.
Financial aid is intended to help cover the total cost of attendance, which includes tuition, fees, housing, books, supplies, and personal expenses. However, the total amount may not cover all costs.
Federal financial aid is only available to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. International students may apply for institutional scholarships or private funding sources.
If you or your family experience significant financial changes, you may request a re-evaluation of your aid eligibility by contacting the Financial Aid Office.
