There have been some recent policy changes in regards to reserving the ballroom in Harriman. Please review the changes below.
You will need a confirmed room reservation to submit a food permit. To get a room confirmation for Harriman Hall, you must:
- Complete a Student Activity Proposal form so that we can reserve the space for you. You should do this 3-4 weeks in advance.
- Schedule an appointment with Don Erb (erb@buffalo.edu) to discuss seating and technology needs for the space. While you can do this up to seven days in advance, you should try to do this 3 weeks in advance in order to meet the food permit deadline. If you do not schedule an appointment with Don Erb, your event can be cancelled. The individual that meets with Don Erb must be the name submitted on the Student Activity Proposal Form, and they should be available for the duration of the event, including cleanup and setup.
- If your event meets the following criteria, you will need to work with Jeanne (jeannevo@buffalo.edu) to submit a request for cleaning services for the event. Cleaning services requests must be submitted at least one week in advance, but you should submit this request 2-3 weeks in advance to secure a food permit.
- Your event will have 80 or more attendees, AND begins after 4pm. You will need to have cleaning services available for a minimum of foour hours.
- Your event will have 120 or more attendees, regardless of start time. You will need to have cleaning services available for the duration of the event.
Once you have met these requirements, your reservation will be confirmed, and you can submit a food permit request. Remember: food permits submitted less than 14 days in advance will be denied.
