At the UB School of Dental Medicine, the experiences you have outside the classroom and clinic play a significant role in your experience. The activities you are involved with, the colleagues you interact with, and the decisions you make, help shape your dental school life.

Pre-Dental guide that includes advice on receiving more interviews (letters of interest vs. intent), common interview questions, shadowing, and personal statements - done by third-year student, Tina Fadel, with her personal experiences @smilesofwisdom.
The mentorship program here at UBSDM serves as a way for pre-dental students to have a direct connection with a current dental student! The goal of the UBSDM mentorship program is to guide future pre-dental students through their journey to dental school (hopefully to UBSDM) and act as an additional resource they can utilize for any questions they have along the way. Each mentor is required to reach out to their mentee at least once every semester, to ensure that there is an open line of communication between the two.

The ASDA Pre-Dental Committee focuses on making pre-dental information accessible, informative, and fun through virtual, interactive webinars. Webinar topics range from DAT and interview tips to webinars all about the admissions process, gap years, and life in dental school. Although we are always brainstorming new webinar topics, there are a few webinars that we always repeat each year due to positive feedback from interested pre-dental students. Webinars will be announced over email to our email list a few weeks before the event. If you would like to join the email list to stay up to date about upcoming webinars, please fill out this form. Webinars will also be advertised on the pre-dental social media page, @ubsdm_pre_dental on Instagram. Come join us to hear from our guest speakers and current students!
Tooth Be Told is a podcast by dental students right here at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where we share advice and discuss our experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
Whether you're considering dentistry as a career or already a fellow dental student, The Tooth Be Told podcast is the place to learn straight from the roots!
Current UBSDM students will be hosting presentations for individual pre-dental societies over Zoom!
