Pre-Health Advisor Resources
Our admissions office is a resource for academic advisors who guide undergraduate students considering a career in dentistry. Below, you will find additional information and resources to assist you and your students.
- The ADEA AADSAS Health Professions Advisor Portal helps you to counsel and guide your students through the application process, by allowing you to track your students’ progress within the application.
- Additionally, you can create reports that demonstrate your institution’s success in helping students get into dental school, and you can use the metrics the portal provides to inform your plans for advising students in subsequent application cycles.
Pre-Dental Office Hours
- Do your students have questions about the admissions process?
- Are your students interested in meeting current dental students?
- Hosted live on Instagram at 12:00pm EST, Instagram Live Office Hours events provide the opportunity to meet current DDS students, faculty, and staff.
Webinar Series
- Our pre-dental student committee offers a variety of prospective student dental webinars.
- This webinar series provides guidance to prospective students.
Friday Dental Drop-In
- Visit the Pre-Clinical and Clinical facilities of UBSDM with a current dental student!
- Admissions staff will be available to answer questions.

- Tooth Be Told is a podcast by dental students right here at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where we share advice and discuss our experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
- Whether you're considering dentistry as a career or already a fellow dental student, The Tooth Be Told podcast is the place to learn straight from the roots!
ASDA Pre-Dental Fall Open House 2025
The ASDA Buffalo Pre-Dental Committee is happy to invite you to our 2025 UB Dental Fall Open House!
Come visit our campus and work on your hand skills with current UBSDM students. This year, our event will be soap carving. You will have the opportunity to talk with faculty and students, take a tour of our school, gain a better understanding of dental school, and ask any questions you may have!
This event is open to all current undergraduate students, current graduate students, and those who have graduated from college or university. This event is not intended for high school students.
Registration is required by October 8th. There is NO fee for this in-person event. Please contact us at ubasdapd@buffalo.edu if you have any questions.
