The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides didactic and clinical training for dental students, surgery residents and graduate students at the University at Buffalo.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Concentration (Minor)

The oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic provides both didactic instruction and supervised, hands-on experience to dental students under the supervision of faculty and residents.

Residency Program

UB offers a six-year combined MD/certificate program in oral and maxillofacial surgery in conjunction with the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. 

Faculty Private Practice

The on-site private practice is used to address more complex procedures, including wisdom tooth removal, dental extractions, dental implants and complex facial surgery. UB Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Inc., is a referral-only, independent oral surgery clinic able to provide intravenous sedation and general anesthesia within the office setting.
