Afia Anwar Khan is a current D3 student. She completed her BDS from Pondicherry University in India. During her BDS, she organized and participated in several dental camps providing dental care to underserved infants, children, and adults. She was also the President of a Federal Organization in India committed to empowering girl children and promoting their education.
At UB, she's the Pre-Health Chair for SNDA (Buffalo Chapter) and an IDP Liaison in UB's Wellness Task Force, focusing on student, faculty, and patient well-being.
Beyond her academic and leadership roles, Afia guides international students through their dental journeys via her Instagram page, Dr. Dentastic. She shares her own experiences and readily addresses any questions, offering valuable support to those navigating the process.
Leena Garg is a current D4 student. Where her passion ushers her into dentistry, her compassion makes her give back to society.
She ran a community mobile campaign called Tooth Carvers in India for a decade. Apart from serving patients, she has helped more than 500 international dentists secure admissions to U.S. DDS programs as the Director of CAAPID Simplified. Also, she is a member of our ASDA Committee and the secretary of the GSSA club.
