Pursuing a DDS degree requires a substantial investment of time, effort, intellectual energy and financial resources. At UB, we are keenly aware (and appreciative) of these investments. Whether you need help adjusting to dental school, or you just need someone to talk to, we’re here for you.
Upperclass students are available to provide academic support — including free tutoring — for first- and second-year students.
In addition to support from fellow classmates, we coordinate a big brother/big sister program to help first-year students make a smooth transition into the program. Mentoring students are members of the second-year class, and they are full of information, guidance, and advice. This volunteer program, which is popular with our students, has resulted in many long-lasting friendships over the years.
The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is committed to providing equal access to students with disabilities, including physical access to educational programs, events and activities. We strive to make it as easy as possible to request reasonable accommodations.
