Food and Dining

  • Buffalo might be known for its world famous chicken wings, the National Buffalo Wing Festival, and The Taste of Buffalo, but there is so much more.
  • The city is home to over 400 independently owned restaurants, meaning you'll never run out of new places to try.
  • From late spring through fall, farmers markets crop up throughout our eight-county region. You can buy everything local there, from fresh produce to maple syrup, free-range beef and chicken, baked goods, jams, herbs, yogurt and artisanal cheese.
  • And thanks to a profusion of local farms and orchards, you won't need to travel far to pick your own produce either.
