Pediatric Dentistry Certificate
The Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry program is fully accredited, diverse, and dynamic in nature. Although it is a hospital-based program, it consists of multiple unique rotation sites where residents will spend a lot of their training that allows them to become proficient in working with in many types of clinical environments with diverse patient populations. Residents rotate through the John Oishei Children’s Hospital, the Kaleida Ambulatory Care Center at the Conventus Center for Collaborative Care, the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, and multiple University Pediatric Dentistry Dental Associates off-site faculty-practice clinics. Residents will gain extensive experience in treating patients of all ages, cultures, and healthcare needs. A comprehensive education is provided in the form of clinical and didactic training, supplemented with close personal interactions with faculty and related healthcare providers.

The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine Pediatrics Program accepts application materials through the American Dental Education Association, Postgraduate Application Support Service (PASS). This service enables applicants to send an original copy of most application materials to PASS for distribution to all the programs that the applicant selects. The department also participates in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching program (MATCH).
Note: Applicants taking the NBDE exam after the application deadline will be considered and must be able to submit a score before matriculation.

- Graduates of US or Canadian dental schools must submit an Institutional Evaluation Form (IEF) or Dean’s letter

- Note international candidates: Academic documents from international institutions must be accompanied by an ECE or WES copy with the PASS application. ECE course-by-course report is preferred. A copy of certificate/diploma with proof of degree is suggested.
6. $50.00 Supplemental Application Fee
You will be required to pay the non-refundable supplemental application fee. Once we receive your application from PASS, you will receive a payment link.
Dental Match
This program participates in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program. Candidates who interview should apply for the match at National Matching Services, Inc.
