The option to simultaneously enroll in a Master's or PhD program and a clinical advanced education program is available to students interested in pursuing both. Candidates must apply separately to each program and must be accepted into each program. The application and admittance process for both programs is separate. Annual tuition covers both programs. For more information and requirements for each program, please visit program pages linked below. For cost of attendance details, click here.
See the chart and corresponding links below to confirm the appropriate electronic application and deadline. Please check the program’s admissions page for a list of requirements.
Transcripts: Provide unofficial transcripts from all previous post-secondary institutions attended; ECE & WES supplements are encouraged for international degree-granting institutions.
Personal Statement and CV/Resume: Our programs require a personal statement along with an electronic copy of your current curriculum vitae or resume.
Letters of Recommendation: Review the number and types of letters required for your program of interest. The UB Application asks for names and email addresses for each person providing a recommendation. Individuals will receive an electronic request to upload the letter. Candidates applying via ADEA PASS should follow proper submission guidelines.
Program specific requirements: Check your program's admissions page to see if there are additional requirements.
Test Scores: Unofficial test scores are generally acceptable during the application process for programs using the UB Application. See ADEA PASS test reporting requirements since they may differ. UB's institution code for official GRE and TOEFL reports is 2925.
Legal Name: International applicants must apply with the full name listed on the passport.
After you complete the application, please submit it for formal review. Be sure to upload all of the required supporting documents (transcripts, personal statement, test scores, etc.) via your applicant portal.
Once you have formally submitted your application, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable application fee.
After you submit the application and paid the non-refundable application fee, a member of the admissions staff will review your file to confirm that it is ready for committee review.
Faculty members from each program evaluate completed applications and make admission decisions.
You will receive a 'Status Update' message once a formal decision has been made so you can view it via the secure applicant portal. Clinical programs that use the Match system will release decisions according to the policies of the Match.
International Admits
If admitted and an international applicant, your admittance will process through International admissions. After an admissions decision is released, steps for admitted students to take are emailed and a checklist is posted in the application status portal. Once an admitted applicant has completed the next steps in their application status portal, the Office of International Admissions will issue an I-20 Form (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status) approximately two to four weeks later. UB International Admissions will send all I-20s with digital signatures via email.
