One of the few biomaterials graduate programs in the world, this interdisciplinary masters degree program focuses on the use of synthetic and natural materials in digital dentistry, implant dentistry, and biomedical engineering.

Admission Requirements

Candidates are informed of their application status via the secure admissions portal; notifications are sent to the email on file when updates are posted.

All School of Dental Medicine Advanced Education programs use a holistic admissions approach.

  • Personal statement: The personal statement should demonstrate the applicant’s ability to discuss their desire to participate in a research-oriented program 
  • Academic background (degrees/majors/coursework): A background in chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, engineering, and physics is highly desirable

Research experience is not required.

Applicants to this program include individuals with an undergraduate bachelors degree.  Trained dentists who enter the program are encouraged to consider dual enrollment in one of our advanced clinical training programs (e.g. prosthodontics).

General Admissions Requirements

The University sets general admissions requirements for graduate study.  These include a minimum undergraduate GPA and demonstration of English Language proficiency for international applicants.
