Dentistry Smiles on Veterans
Every year in November, the School of Dental Medicine proudly hosts its Dentistry Smiles on Veterans event to provide military veterans with free, comprehensive oral health care services from the School of Dental Medicine and community-based providers.
Giving Back to Those Who Have Served
During the annual Dentistry Smiles on Veterans event, volunteers from the School of Dental Medicine, UB's other academic health centers and community-based providers and partners team up to give back to those who have served their country through military service. Through this outreach program, patients have an opportunity to establish a new dental home, and students gain an understanding of giving back to the community, the broader impact of interprofessional collaboration on patient outcomes, and whole-body wellness.
