The fashions were out of this world, under the sea, and all kinds of groovy at the AADMD American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) Buffalo student chapter Fashion Show held Jan. 24 at the LECOM Marriott in Buffalo.

The annual fundraiser celebrates the fashion flair and creative talents of individuals of all abilities, while promoting inclusion and the importance of increasing access to quality, compassionate care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). All proceeds from the event benefit GiGi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center of Buffalo

This year's show welcomed 25 honored guests from GiGi's Playhouse and featured several standout moments, including a lively performance by a D2 band and the show-stopping outer space fashion line modeled by D3 students. Other runway lines included "Under the White Coat,” Bills Mafia, Disco and more.

"This year's fashion show was an inspiring event, and we are thrilled to share that we raised the most ever in the event's history!" said AADMD co-presidents Alli Haugh and Rebecca DeBellis, both third-year dental students. "Thank you to all students, faculty, staff, and guests who supported us and our amazing partners at GiGi's Playhouse."
