Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program Requirements

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University at Buffalo is a six-year program jointly sponsored by the University at Buffalo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department and the Erie County Medical Center. 

Basic Criteria

Applicant must: 

  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, and provide proof of United States Permanent Residency with PASS application.
  • Have completed a minimum of 60 Higher Education credit hours in a United States or Canadian institution. Applicants who do not meet this requirement are are not eligible for the program.

Applications cannot be processed until all required documentations are received via PASS and US mail.

  • Official dental school and undergrad transcripts
  • NBME Basic Science Examination score (CBSE)

Required Documents (to be sent electronically or mailed to program office)

  •  Official undergraduate and Dental School transcripts if they are unable to be uploaded to PASS

    Please note, we are only able to accept official transcripts mailed directly from the Office of the Registrar.
