At UB, trainees have direct access to exceptional faculty, new clinical facilities, a diverse patient population and state-of-the-art research opportunities.

The majority of Advanced Education programs at the School of Dental Medicine lead to a certificate in a specialty field. Many students simultaneously pursue an academic degree to enhance their research exposure during clinical training. While some students focus exclusively on their research careers and pursue masters degrees, others conduct basic and/or clinical research to earn a doctoral degree.
