The Buffalo Section of the American Association for Dental
Research (AADR Buffalo) encourages oral health research activities
at the School of Dental Medicine and throughout the
UB study may be first to relate children’s oral health to
obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
Researchers at the University at Buffalo have received a
$239,000 grant from the National Institute of Dental and
Craniofacial Research to study what happens when seemingly harmless
bacteria overstay their welcome.
The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine has
completed the first phase of a $25 million renovation of the
school’s pre-clinical simulation center and patient
UB-led consortium that earned prestigious National Institutes of
Health grant moves into a new phase.
UB-led study is among the largest and focuses exclusively on
postmenopausal women in whom periodontitis, total tooth loss and
cardiovascular disease is high nationally.
UB’s Office of the Vice President for Research and
Economic Development (OVPRED) offers a variety of campus-wide
