AADR Buffalo Section Research Awards
Graduate student award
AADR Buffalo Section Research Award is given for an outstanding research performed by a graduate student. This award is presented during the School of Dental Medicine (SDM) Student Research Day in Spring Semester. The evaluation and scoring of the research is done by SDM faculty involved in active research.

Dr. Nina Thamadilok was the recipient of the 2013 AADR Buffalo Section Research Award for Graduate Students. This award was presented at the SDM Student Research Day, held in Harriman Hall, South Campus University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York in March. The title of her poster is: Comparing the human, chimpanzee, and gorilla saliva: A proteomic perspective, authors: Supaporn Thamadilok, Kyoung-Soo Choi, Lorenz Ruhl, Molakala S. Reddy, A. Latif Kazim, and Stefan Ruhl.

Dr. Anna Nikitkova was the recipient of the 2011 AADR Buffalo Section Research Award for Graduate Students. This award was presented at the SDM Student Research Day, held in Harriman Hall, South Campus University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York on March 3rd, 2011. The title of this abstract is “Roles of Salivary α-amylase and amylase-binding protein A in Streptococcus gordonii gene expression and host adaptation”, authors: A. Nikitkova; E. Haase; M. Vickerman; S. Gill and F. Scannapieco.
