  • Extra Duties-2014; EXTRA DUTIES I type electronic CBCT referrals and retrieve CBCT scans from OSIRIX software, compress the scans and referral, and upload them encrypted to UNC ftp site for review and report by Dr. Andre Mol at UNC Chapel Hill. I notify Dr. Mol via e-mail that scan has been sent. Dr. Mol notifies me via e-mail that over read report is ready. I download the report from UNC’s ftp site. I print a hard copy of the report on the Dean’s printer. I hand deliver the reports to the referring faculty (Debbie Falter for Dr. Andreana) and faculty is to put copy in patient’s chart. I notify OIR that 2 D snapshots from the over read reports must be uploaded to MIPACs in the patient’ s EOHR. For private practice referrals I mail the report to the outside dentist or put it in the mailbox of a UB private practice faculty referral. I submit the monthly statement from UNC for over reads to Matt Deck. I calibrate on an annual basis all intraoral units in the SDM and enter the data into an excel spreadsheet. I post the times, mA, kV, and mR skin entrance dose for PSP sensors and film. As of 2014 we have eliminated the use of film throughout the clinics except in faculty practice and in pre clinical endo, I will only post film information in those areas. It is hoped that this year OIR will permit digital imaging for the endo portion of the WREB exam. We would only need to put these extracted teeth images under fake patients. We need more fake patient files in MIPACs anyway to accommodate IDP DXTTR training. I calibrate all radiology faculty on an annual basis by having all faculty including myself , independently chart the same FMX and I enter the findings into an excel spreadsheet. The faculty then reviews the consensus and signs off in agreement of the findings.; Coordinator (2014)
