Advanced Education Orientation

Orientation activities are designed to provide essential information to Advanced Education students regarding the academic and non-academic aspects of the upcoming year.  Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory in order to gain clinical privileges.

New students entering the following traditional degree-bearing programs are not required to attend the Advanced Education Orientation but are encouraged to attend the Dean's Welcome Lunch on August 8.

Note:  International Students entering the programs listed below MUST attend the Fall 2016 International Graduate Student Orientation from August 21-24, 2016.

  • Biomaterials - MS
  • Oral Biology - PhD
  • Oral Sciences - MS

New students in the following clinical certificate programs are required to attend Advanced Education Orientation:

  • Orthodontics -  MS & Certificate
  • Endodontics - Certificate
  • Periodontics - Certificate
  • Prosthodontics - Certificate
  • Oral Pathology - Certificate
  • TMD and Orofacial Pain Certificate 

An International Student Orientation Session will be hosted at the Dental School on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Therefore, there is exemption from attending the University's International Graduate Student Orientation mentioned above.
