"Don't shy away from or give up on opportunities just because they may not fit into the typical pre-dental student mold. Everyone has a different path to Dental School and seeking out experiences that you are excited about will always express your most authentic self. "

Undergrad: George Washington University

If you were stranded on an island what dental instrument would you choose to have and why?

The Loma Linda. It was always my go-to in moments of near disaster in pre-clinic.

What has been your favorite class in dental school so far?

Oral Pathology. It was one of the first classes that really bridged the gap between clinical and didactic coursework for me. It was a lot of hard work but it has been exciting to see how much of the material is applicable in my day-to-day patient care in clinic.

Why UB School of Dental Medicine?

I came from an undergraduate school in a large city and wanted my dental school experience to be more personal and community focused. During my interview at UBSDM it was clear that at the very heart of the school is a commitment to support each member of our community. Since moving to Buffalo two years ago, my classmates have become my friends, they have become my go-to people to call at all hours of the day, and they have encouraged me to never give up and stay positive! I can't imagine being anywhere else for dental school.

What student organization(s) you are part of?

PEDO Club, Class of 2019 E-Board.

What is your favorite tooth?

I'll always remember my D2 year by the love/hate relationship I had with #30.

What is your advice for students interested in dentistry?

Don't shy away from or give up on opportunities just because they may not fit into the typical pre-dental student mold. Everyone has a different path to Dental School and seeking out experiences that you are excited about will always express your most authentic self.
