The Wall Street Journal reports on the increase of Indian grad students at UB

An article in The Wall Street Journal about the growth of new international enrollment at U.S. graduate schools reports first-time enrollment by Indian students rose 80 percent this fall at UB, after a 25 percent gain last year, with the university welcoming 683 new Indian students in its graduate programs of the 1,266 who are now studying here. The article quotes John Ho, vice provost for graduate education and dean of the graduate school, who said Indian students might be betting that Congress will soon pass immigration reform making it easier for them to land jobs stateside after completing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
