The Philadelphia Inquirer interviews UB expert about lack of research for when to operate after spinal injury

Elad Levy, professor of neurosurgery, is quoted in an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer about efforts by the nonprofit Association for Collaborative Spine Research to raise money and organize studies to learn how quickly surgery should be done to get the best results after certain spinal injuries. “Most of what we do is based on anecdotes, theories,” he said. “Evidence-based medicine is the holy grail.” The article also appeared on Insurance News Net.
