UB is the premier public research university in the Northeastern United States and the largest and most comprehensive campus in the 64-campus SUNY system. The School of Architecture and Planning is the only architecture school in the SUNY system and offers SUNY’s only accredited professional master of architecture (MArch) degree, among its other undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

The College of Arts and Sciences is UB’s largest and most diverse academic community led by top faculty scholars and researchers in the humanities, arts, sciences and social sciences. The CAS offers a comprehensive range of degrees and programs through its 25 departments, 21 centers and institutes, two art galleries, and major theater and music performance venues.

Among the top dental schools in the country, the School of Dental Medicine is known for the quality of its DDS and postgraduate programs, and its long history of leadership in oral biology research.

UB’s Graduate School of Education offers high-quality programs in counseling, the science of learning and leadership techniques, plus the opportunity to study toward New York State teaching certification in 21 fields.

The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is the largest and most comprehensive public school of engineering in New York State, offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in seven departments.

SUNY’s only law school, UB Law is among the nation’s strongest and most innovative public law schools. UB Law is recognized for excellence in the interdisciplinary study of law and includes several well-established dual degree programs to combine the JD with a variety of master’s degrees.

The UB School of Management is recognized for its emphasis on real-world learning, community and economic impact, and the global perspective of its faculty, students and alumni. The school also has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report for the quality of its programs and the return on investment it provides its graduates.

The Jacobs School prepares students to become tomorrow’s leaders in health care and biomedical sciences. You’ll be immersed in clinical experiences and training opportunities through our unique consortium of affiliated teaching hospitals and health care systems, and nine degrees and programs.

The School of Nursing has the greatest breadth of academic programming among nursing schools in New York State, offering baccalaureate, certificate and master’s degree programs, along with two doctorates.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is SUNY’s only pharmacy school. It houses one of the world's top graduate programs in pharmaceutical sciences, along with a professional PharmD program that ranks in the top 25 percent nationally.

SPHHP is home to innovative research that uses a global perspective to examine critical health issues. Fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, the school’s curriculum will prepare you to make a difference in the lives of populations around the globe.

Offering MSW and PhD degrees, the School of Social Work is among the top 10 percent of MSW programs nationally in the most recent rankings from the Council on Social Work Education and U.S. News & World Report.

UB’s partnership with the internationally recognized Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center offers five PhD programs and an MS program. They are designed for individuals pursuing careers in cancer research or in basic and translational biomedical research.
