DO YOU GET COLD SORES?

The University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, department of Periodontics and Endodontics, is looking for males and females between the ages of 18-70 who qualify to participate in a research study of an investigational drug to help heal or stop the spread of cold sores.

This study is being conducted under the direction of Dr. Sebastian G. Ciancio

IMPLANT STUDY: SPONSORED BY NOBEL BIOCARE

 

A Clinical Study of The effect of immediate versus early loading on the esthetical outcome of NobelActive implants.

The purpose of the study will be to evaluate implants placed with a temporary crown versus a crown being placed 4-6 weeks later.

Volunteers of 18 years of age or older, with overall good medical and dental health, and in need for dental implant may be eligible to participate in the study. The study consists of a total of seven visits over a two years period. Reimbursement will include dental exam, X-rays, and significant discount of the cost of both the implant and the crown.

The department of Restorative Denistry at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is conducting a research study for crowns.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • In need of a posterior crown
  • Participate in a total of seven (7) visits over a 2-year period

The Department of Restorative Dentistry at The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is conducting a research study for Dentures. 

 Inclusion criteria:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • In need of a new upper and lower dentures, with or without two or more implants on your lower denture and/or complete upper denture with or without dental implants
  • Participate in a total 6 of visits over a 2-year period

You will receive compensation for your participation.

DO YOU HAVE PAIN???

The University at Buffalo Dental School is enrolling eligible volunteers, who have facial pain, to participate in a research study about muscle, joint and jaw function.

To be eligible you must be:

  • 18-44 years old
  • In good health
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Eligible participants will be compensated for time and travel.

One clinical Visit is required, along with follow up questionnaires.  The Study is being conducted under the direction of Dr. Richard Ohrbach DDS, PhD, Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences.

The Implant Center at the School of Dental Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Sebastiano Andreana, is recruiting volunteers for a research study that will evaluate (2) marketed bone filling materials in rebuilding bone in the area where a hopeless tooth is removed.

Major inclusion criteria:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Overall good medical and dental health
  • In need of tooth extraction(s)
  • Participate in a total of six (6) visits over 6 month period

Volunteers will receive compensation for their time and travel.
