The University at Buffalo Smile Team
Under the umbrella of the U.B. Smile Team, seven distinct groups at the SDM collaborate to provide donated dental services locally, nationally and internationally. Each group addresses a unique underserved population. The innovative and truly global nature of their activities serves to alleviate human suffering and improve oral health and quality of life.
The mission of the U.B. Smile Team is to promote dental education and provide free oral health care in those areas of the world that lack adequate access to such treatment. Because a smile is understood in any language, our name signifies our dedication to oral health care, as well as our goal of advocating for universal access for care worldwide.
